How To Extend The Shelf-Life of Tomatoes

Ever wondered how to properly store a tomato?  Here ya go!

How to store tomatoes properly -- so easy!

A few weeks ago, I was at a farmer’s market.  I had purchased heaps of produce and while speaking to one of the local growers, I casually said how I hoped I could eat everything before it went bad.  He informed me that in order to extend the shelf life of a tomato, you should store it at room temperature and upside down.  Interesting, huh?  Apparently, storing it upside down keeps moisture from entering and exiting where the stem use to be.
