The Most Versatile Ingredient Ever

The Most Versatile Ingredient Ever!

Last weekend, I visited one of my best friends in Chicago.  She’s beautiful, talented, and super smart, but she’s quite new to cooking.  How new you ask?  This is her refrigerator.

Empty Fridge

My friend asked me to help her prepare something to bring to her in-laws house for their annual Labor Day gathering.  Instead of giving her a fish; I taught her how to fish.

Pillsbury Crescent Rolls are  amazing.  They are delicious, flaky, and a new cooks best friend.  Here is the recipe.

DIRECTIONS

  1. Pick any 3 ingredients you love.
  2. Mix them together.
  3. Put a scoop of the combined mixture at the wide end of an unrolled crescent triangle.
  4. Roll it up!
  5. Bake according to package instructions.

Easy peasy!

Here are some epic combos.

green apple + brie + walnut

peanut butter + jelly + banana

dates + pancetta + goat cheese

marshmallows + crushed graham crackers + chocolate chips

carmelized onions + goat cheese + honey

spinach + sun dried tomatoes + mozzarella

What are some of your go-to combinations?
